About The Role
The Azure Cloud Engineer at Pellera Technologies plays a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud solutions within the Microsoft Azure platform. This position involves supporting and optimizing cloud environments to ensure they are secure, reliable, and scalable to meet client needs. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, security, and application development, to deliver high-quality managed cloud services. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise in Azure services, infrastructure management, and automation to support our clients' digital transformation initiatives effectively.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of five years of overall IT experience, with at least three years focused on Microsoft Azure. Relevant certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) are highly preferred, with additional certifications like AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer) and AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) considered advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, security, and automation tools, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Experience working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment and familiarity with multi-tenant architectures are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for a broad range of tasks including monitoring and managing service requests, incidents, and changes in accordance with established SLAs. Providing advanced technical support (L2/L3) for Azure environments, participating in incident response, root cause analysis, and escalation processes are core components of the role. The engineer will design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure, ensuring adherence to best practices for security, performance, and cost-efficiency. They will implement identity and governance solutions such as Azure AD, RBAC, and PIM, while optimizing cloud environments through performance tuning and cost management. Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM, Bicep, or Terraform is essential for automation and consistency. Supporting onboarding processes for new clients and environments, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, and maintaining comprehensive documentation are also key responsibilities. The role involves continuous evaluation of new Azure features and recommending improvements, participating in on-call rotations, and supporting ongoing operational activities.
