Job Title: Azure Cloud & Datacenter Operations Lead
Experience Required: 10+ Years (Immediate Joiners)
Location: Bangalore
Shift Timing: CET Shift
Project Prerequisite Skills
- Cloud Azure and On-Premises Datacenter Services
Primary & Secondary Skills
- Primary: Azure Cloud Architecture
- Secondary: Public Cloud Finance (FinOps)
Role Purpose
Provide critical leadership and operational stability for Cloud (Azure) and on-premises Datacenter services during a period of transition, project execution, or leadership coverage. The role ensures service continuity, high availability, cost control, and governance, with a strong emphasis on service management best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure stable and reliable operations across Azure and on-premises datacenter environments
- Own end-to-end infrastructure service delivery during the engagement period
- Lead incident, problem, change, availability, and capacity management (aligned with ITIL practices)
- Act as the operational escalation point for business-critical services
- Drive Azure cost optimization, tagging compliance, and cost transparency
- Lead Azure cost reviews and identify consumption and optimization opportunities
- Maintain service resilience, security, and compliance standards
- Provide continuity during transition and enable smooth handovers and knowledge transfer
- Govern vendor/service partner performance and manage stakeholder communication
Skills & Experience
- Proven leadership experience in Cloud and Datacenter service operations
- Strong hands-on and governance experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure
- Solid expertise in IT Service Management (ITIL)
- Practical experience in Azure cost management / FinOps
- Strong stakeholder, vendor, and executive communication skills
- Ability to operate independently and ensure stability in high-change environments
