Job Role : Azure Cloud Customer Ops Engineer
Experience Range : 8–12 years (minimum 6+ years hands‑on Azure operations)
Key Responsibilities
Tenant & Subscription Governance
- Manage Azure tenant and subscription lifecycle, RBAC, and access reviews
- Govern Azure Marketplace service enablement and intake evaluation
- Deploy and manage Azure Policies and guardrails (preventive & detective)
- Ensure enterprise connectivity and access continuity
Security & Compliance
- Ensure Azure security tooling (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel integrations) is operational
- Maintain centralized logging using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Support remediation of security findings and risk records
- Govern break‑glass accounts and audit readiness
Architecture & Resiliency
- Conduct Azure Well‑Architected Framework reviews with focus on resiliency
- Review VNet design, routing, peering, and network security architecture
- Validate builds meet minimum security and platform standards
Performance, Capacity & FinOps
- Enable Azure FinOps tooling and tagging strategies
- Optimize Azure SKUs, reservations, and savings plans
- Monitor performance, availability, and capacity
Infrastructure & Operations
- Automation using ARM/Bicep/Terraform and Azure DevOps
- Patch management and gold image adoption
- Backup governance and restore readiness
- Key Vault certificate and key rotation
- AKS and Azure networking support
Incident & Change Management
- Act as L1/L2 responder for Azure tenant‑level incidents
- Lead war rooms and coordinate Microsoft support
- Execute emergency infra changes following governance
Cloud Migration
- Support Azure‑to‑Azure and cloud‑to‑Azure migrations
Must‑Have Skills
- Azure IaaS/PaaS, Azure Policy, RBAC, VNet
- Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Defender, Sentinel
- Terraform / ARM / Bicep
- FinOps, backup, patching, incident response
