TCS Hiring for Azure API Developer
Experience Range: - 06 To 10 Years (Mandatory)
(Note: Candidates below 6 years of IT experience shall not be considered)
JOB LOCATION: Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune
JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop APIs using Azure Integration Services (API Management, Functions, Logic Apps).
- Modernize existing on‑prem APIs or integration interfaces to cloud‑ready Azure‑based implementations.
- Build secure API endpoints with proper authentication, authorization, throttling, and governance.
- Integrate APIs with Azure services such as App Services, Service Bus, Event Grid, Storage, and databases.
- Collaborate with application and data teams to define integration contracts, payloads, and transformation logic.
- Implement CI/CD automation for API deployments using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Troubleshoot API performance, connectivity, and functional issues across hybrid environments.
- Ensure APIs follow enterprise standards for security, logging, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Support migration waves by enabling required API integrations between on‑prem and Azure systems.
- Produce technical documentation, design specifications, and reusable integration patterns.
Required Skills:
- Experience in API development, integration engineering, or cloud application development.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Azure API Management, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
- Proficiency in REST API design, JSON, XML, and integration patterns (sync/async, event‑driven).
- Experience with Azure messaging services (Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hub).
- Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, Python, or Node.js for API development.
- Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, Managed Identity, and API security best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps).
- Strong debugging, problem‑solving, and cross‑team collaboration skills.
Good to Have Skills:
- Experience with hybrid integration scenarios (on‑prem to cloud, VPN/ExpressRoute).
- Exposure to API modernization, microservices, or domain‑driven design.
- Knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for container‑based API hosting.
- Familiarity with data transformation tools (Liquid templates, mapping, XSLT).
- Experience with monitoring tools (App Insights, Log Analytics).
- Certifications such as AZ‑204, AZ‑400, or Azure Integration credentials.
