Role Description The Ayurveda Physician will provide comprehensive Ayurvedic consultation and treatment for kidney patients in a full-time, on-site role located in Kakori. Responsibilities include conducting detailed patient assessments, reviewing medical histories and diagnostic reports, and prescribing individualized Ayurvedic treatment plans, including herbal medications, diet modifications, and lifestyle recommendations. The physician will monitor patient progress, adjust treatment protocols as needed, and maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. The role also involves educating patients and families about kidney health, the principles of Ayurveda, and non-invasive treatment options, as well as collaborating with other clinical and support staff to ensure safe, coordinated care. Participation in case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing learning in Ayurvedic nephrology is expected.
Qualifications
- Clinical Ayurvedic expertise: B.A.M.S. or equivalent recognized Ayurvedic medical degree, with strong knowledge of Ayurvedic principles, diagnosis (Nidan), and kidney-related disorders.
- Patient care and communication: Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough consultations, explain treatment plans clearly, provide counseling, and build trust with diverse patient populations.
- Treatment planning: Experience prescribing Ayurvedic medicines using natural herbs, designing customized diet plans, and integrating yoga and lifestyle guidance into patient care.
- Clinical documentation and collaboration: Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical records, reviewing diagnostic reports, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ethics and safety: Commitment to evidence-informed, safe practice, with careful monitoring of patient responses and timely escalation of care when needed.
- Preferred experience: Prior work in Ayurvedic kidney care or nephrology-related practice, exposure to international patient care, and familiarity with holistic and integrative health approaches.
- Additional requirements: Ability to work full time on-site in Kakori, basic computer literacy for clinical systems, and readiness to engage in ongoing professional development.
