JOB SUMMARY:

The Market Lab Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the primary/family care practice laboratories under the direction of the Lab Director and/or Technical Consultant.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Organizes and directs the daily activities of the laboratory
Perform daily maintenance and quality control procedures and maintenance.
Performs phlebotomy and routine laboratory tests
Operate diagnostic equipment to administer routine tests
Investigate and follow up on issues, problems and complaints as brought up by lab staff, management, and clinical staff
Complete monitoring, record keeping, and reporting for all waived testing.
See that all laboratory procedures are followed, and testing is performed within compliance
Manage human resources: recruit, discipline, orient and train new staff members.
Evaluate staff for performance under the direction of the lab director.
Schedule and assign staff as needed.
Inventory and stock supplies and reagents.
Adhere to all standards of care, Code of Conduct, and HIPAA Compliance
Must be able to float to all locations as necessary.
Assist with other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

High School graduate or equivalent education required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Completion of an accredited Medical Lab Tech program preferred
Current Basic Life Support card from the American Heart Association, prior to hire date
2+ years working experience in a clinical practice setting or laboratory required
2+ years Supervisory experience required
Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, prioritize, and facilitate many on-going tasks
Strong leadership and communication skills
