About the role

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Engineer to join our Axiz Field Services team based in Cape Town. As an IT Support Engineer, you will be the technical backbone ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems, network connectivity, and server management. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage support requests, set up computer systems, and train end-users, all while upholding company policies and contributing to our organisational success. Key Responsibilities: Manage and update technical support service requests. Provide hands-on support for desktops, networks, and servers. Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with Account Managers. Install, test, and maintain desktop hardware and software. Train users on hardware and software applications. Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues. Order and liaise on procurement of IT equipment. Troubleshoot and maintain peripherals like printers. MAC support. Desktop and laptop support. Network infrastructure support ( Switches, Servers, Routers, Fibre, Tape Library, Firewalls, Patch Panels, Wifi AP's). Cellphone and Tablets support ( Apple and Android). Application support (Click view, click sense, SAP, Formular 5,Microsoft applications, Windows 11, Adobe). Printer support ( Both software and hardware knowledge). Meeting room equipment ( Cameras and projectors).
