Senior MuleSoft Engineer

Job description

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer for a 12-month contract role based in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Mule, Java, and SQL, along with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies. This role focuses on building and maintaining robust, scalable applications while contributing to continuous improvement within our engineering team.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Mule 3.8-3.9 (Enterprise and Community Edition).
• Proficient in Java 7/8 and Groovy for data transformation (without Dataweave).
• Solid experience with MSSQL for backend databases.
• Familiarity with ActiveMQ and Azure Service Bus (ASB).
• Expertise in SQL for complex database interactions.
• Experience with Junit/Munit/FunctionalMunitSuite for testing.
• Proficient with Git, Maven, and Nexus or JFrog for version control and repository management.
• Good understanding of reliability patterns and CQRS.
• Preferred: Experience integrating with payment service providers and Salesforce.
• Preferred: Experience introducing new RESTful endpoints for frontend consumption.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend systems using Mule, Java, and SQL.
• Mentor junior team members and participate in peer reviews.
• Implement security best practices and CI/CD pipeline enhancements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality code.
• Support Product Managers in evaluating technical solutions and providing recommendations.
