Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced AWS Solutions Architect with strong expertise in cloud migration to design, plan, and execute large-scale migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in migrating on-premises or legacy systems to AWS, designing scalable architectures, and ensuring high availability, security, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end cloud migration projects (assessment, planning, execution, and optimization)
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS architectures
- Define migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor, retire, retain)
- Perform application and infrastructure discovery and dependency mapping
- Develop migration runbooks, wave plans, and cutover strategies
- Work with stakeholders to gather technical and business requirements
- Ensure adherence to AWS best practices and Well-Architected Framework
- Implement automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Optimize cloud environments for performance, reliability, and cost
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and migration issues
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with AWS services such as:
- Compute: EC2, Lambda
- Storage: S3, EBS, EFS
- Networking: VPC, Route 53, ELB
- Databases: RDS, DynamoDB
- Hands-on experience with AWS migration tools:
- AWS Application Migration Service (MGN)
- AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)
- AWS Migration Hub
- Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises integrations
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, Direct Connect)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS) is a plus
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of security best practices (IAM, encryption, compliance)
- Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
- Experience with large-scale enterprise migrations
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure/GCP is a plus)
- Familiarity with cost management tools and FinOps practices

- Experience with data migration and analytics platforms
