AWS Solutions/Platform Architect
Role Summary
The AWS Platform Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and assuring AWS‑based platform solutions at CBA. The role ensures cloud platforms are secure, scalable, resilient, cost‑optimised, and compliant with CBA enterprise architecture and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Define AWS platform architectures aligned to CBA cloud and enterprise standards
- Design secure, scalable AWS environments (networking, compute, storage, IAM)
- Establish reference architectures and landing zone patterns
- Ensure compliance with security, identity, risk, and regulatory requirements
- Guide teams on cloud migration, modernisation, and platform onboarding
- Review designs for availability, performance, DR, and cost optimisation
- Support delivery teams through build, test, and production readiness
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as AWS Platform / Cloud Architect
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (VPC, EC2/ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda)
- Experience with IaC, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of NFRs and cloud security patterns
- Financial services or regulated enterprise experience preferred
