AWS DevOps Engineer | Terraform | Kubernetes | CI/CD | Azure Migration | Remote | UK Hours
Rate: £200 per day
Duration: 3-month rolling contract, likely to turn into a long-term gig of 12 months or more.
Location: Fully Remote (India based) - Must work during UK hours.
Requirement: Strong hands-on AWS, good understanding of Git and version control &
able to work UK hours with a high level of English speaking and writing (Non Negotiable)
Only candidates with strong, hands-on AWS DevOps experience will be considered. AWS is the priority for this role, and you must also be comfortable supporting a phased migration in the future from AWS to Azure, as both clouds are in use.

We're looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to own infrastructure automation, CI/CD, architecture, and cloud reliability in a secure, compliance-driven environment, while helping steer the business through a strategic move from AWS to Azure.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Extensive hands-on DevOps engineering experience with a strong grasp of DevOps principles and methodologies
- Strong AWS across Route 53, DNS, ECS, ECR, load balancing, serverless, IAM, networking and security
- Azure exposure and comfort supporting a phased AWS to Azure migration
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (Azure Bicep a strong plus)
- Containerisation and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes
- Building reusable CI/CD pipelines with quality gates (linting, SonarQube) and security baked in, ideally on GitHub Actions
- Solid networking knowledge (protocols, DNS, load balancing, inbound/outbound rules) as it relates to application deployment
- Designing and implementing architecture with a focus on network security
- System monitoring and logging with Prometheus and Grafana
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python)
- Good understanding of Git and version control, SDLC, and software QA principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication, able to document and share results with stakeholders
- Able to work UK business hours consistently
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and a strong problem solver
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- AWS, Azure, or Terraform certifications (a plus)
