About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at Innova ESI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures utilizing AWS cloud services. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, optimize data workflows, and ensure the integrity and security of data assets. The successful candidate will have a strong background in AWS data services, data modeling, and ETL development, with a passion for innovative solutions and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in AWS data services such as Glue, Lambda, EventBridge, Kinesis, S3, EMR, Redshift, RDS, Step Functions, and Airflow.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and automation tasks.
- Hands-on experience with IAM, CloudTrail, cluster optimization, and security best practices in AWS.
- Experience in designing and implementing scalable data models, data components, and automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and SVN.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data governance, and best practices.
Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Create and manage AWS Glue crawlers and jobs to automate data cataloging and ingestion processes across various structured and unstructured data sources.
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, ensuring efficient data transformation and movement.
- Manage and optimize AWS Redshift clusters, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Implement data security and access controls using IAM policies and CloudTrail monitoring to ensure compliance and data integrity.
- Build and maintain scalable data architectures leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, Kinesis, and Step Functions.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Automate deployment processes and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Perform data quality checks, automated testing, and code reviews to ensure high standards of data reliability and accuracy.
- Support UAT testing, deployment, and go-live activities, providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance.
- Document data workflows, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Technical Skills
- Must have strong experience in AWS Data Services like Glue, Lambda, EventBridge, Kinesis, S3/EMR, Redshift, RDS, Step Functions, Airflow, and Pyspark.
- Strong exposure to IAM, CloudTrail, cluster optimization, Python, and SQL.
- Should have expertise in data design, STTM, understanding of data models, data component design, automated testing, code coverage, UAT support, deployment, and go-live processes.
- Experience with version control systems like SVN and Git.
- Proficiency in creating and managing AWS Glue crawlers and jobs to automate data cataloging and ingestion processes across various data sources.
- Strong experience with AWS Glue building ETL pipelines, managing crawlers, and working with Glue Data Catalog.
- Proficiency in AWS Redshift designing and managing clusters, writing complex SQL queries, and optimizing query performance.
- Ability to enable data consumption from reporting and analytics business applications using AWS services such as QuickSight, Sagemaker, JDBC/ODBC connectivity, etc.
