About The Role
TCS is seeking a skilled AWS Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures utilizing AWS cloud services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with hands-on experience in Python, Pyspark, and Hive. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies and contribute to large-scale data projects that impact global clients.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Candidates should have between 4 to 8 years of professional experience in data engineering roles. Proficiency in Python programming and experience with Pyspark or Scala are essential. Familiarity with core AWS services such as AWS Glue, Lambda, Athena, EMR, S3, and RedShift is required. Knowledge of ETL tools and strong SQL skills are also necessary. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a strong understanding of data architecture and cloud computing principles.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and workflows using AWS services including Glue, Lambda, and Athena. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Implement data validation, cleaning, and transformation processes to ensure data quality and integrity. Maintain and troubleshoot existing data systems, ensuring high availability and performance. Automate data workflows and monitor system health to proactively address issues. Document technical specifications and best practices for data engineering processes. Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and continuously improve data architecture and pipelines to meet evolving business needs.
