Key Responsibilities
1️⃣ AWS Architecture & Cloud Design
- Design and implement scalable, secure, highly available AWS architectures.
- Lead architecture decisions involving ECS, EKS, serverless, networking, IAM, VPC, and multi-account strategy.
- Review and optimize existing AWS infrastructure.
- Act as the backup Cloud Architect when required.
- Drive cost optimization and governance initiatives.
2️⃣ Containerization & Kubernetes
- Deploy and manage container-based workloads using ECS and EKS.
- Implement Kubernetes best practices (scaling, security, networking).
- Work with Helm charts and manage deployments using ArgoCD.
- Troubleshoot cluster-level and container-level issues.
3️⃣ CI/CD & DevOps Automation
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins.
- Implement GitOps practices.
- Automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Improve DevOps maturity across teams.
4️⃣ Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules.
- Implement reusable, scalable IaC patterns.
- Manage state files, remote backends, and modular architecture.
- Ensure compliance and security via automated policy checks.
5️⃣ Development & Engineering Collaboration
- Read, understand, and review Python-based applications.
- Work closely with developers to improve application deployment strategies.
- Guide teams on AWS-native development patterns.
- Understand database design principles and recommend scalable patterns.
- Promote clean coding and cloud-native best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless and container services (ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, VPC).
- Deep understanding of AWS architecture patterns and cloud-native design.
- Hands-on Python experience (ability to read, debug, and contribute).
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD (or strong willingness to adopt GitOps).
- Strong experience with Terraform (modular architecture, remote state, environments).
- Prior experience as a developer.
- Solid understanding of database principles (RDS, NoSQL, indexing, performance).
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
