Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced AWS CloudFormation Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS services and automation tools to build secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates (YAML/JSON)
- Automate provisioning and configuration of AWS resources
- Manage and deploy services such as:
- Amazon EC2
- Amazon S3
- Amazon RDS
- AWS Lambda
- Amazon VPC
- AWS IAM
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like:
- AWS CodePipeline
- Jenkins
- Monitor infrastructure using:
- Amazon CloudWatch
- Optimize cost and performance of AWS resources
- Implement security best practices and compliance controls
- Troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure issues
- Work closely with DevOps, development, and security teams
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS CloudFormation
- Experience with scripting (Python / Bash)
- Experience with Git-based version control
- Understanding of networking concepts (VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups)
- Knowledge of IAM roles, policies, and security best practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with container services like ECS/EKS is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer)
- Experience with Terraform (optional but preferred)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience in multi-account AWS environments
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
