Carbon Project Associate-Field: AWD (Alternate Wetting and Drying).
Work Location: Palakkad, Kerala.
Join our carbon projects team to promote sustainable rice farming and reduce GHG emissions through innovative water management in Kerala! This field-based role offers hands-on impact with farmers and communities.
Role Overview
We seek a detail-oriented Carbon Project Associate-Field, Field to drive AWD implementation in rice cultivation projects. You'll collaborate with farmers and teams to monitor practices, collect data, ensure protocol compliance, and support training, advancing water efficiency and GHG reduction goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor AWD practices during field visits, tracking water levels and crop health
- Collect data via mobile apps, GPS, or worksheets for project reporting and verification
- Train farmers on AWD techniques and conduct awareness sessions
- Coordinate with communities, partners, and teams to resolve field issues promptly
- Document activities with photos, reports, and ensure protocol compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in agriculture, Environmental Science, Forestry preferred or related field.
- Proficiency with dMRV apps, worksheets, mobile tools for AWD data collection
- Excellent communication for farmer training & stakeholder engagement
- Strong technical report writing & documentation skills
- Team-oriented; comfortable with rural travel & field visits
- Field experience in Agri/Environmental projects (preferred)
