Role Description
We are seeking a high-impact, entrepreneurial leader to spearhead the growth of our E-commerce and Quick Commerce business across leading marketplaces and rapid delivery platforms. This role will own channel growth, profitability, operational excellence, and strategic partnerships across platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, Amazon, Flipkart, and BigBasket.
The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen with deep marketplace operational expertise and has successfully scaled high-growth consumer brands in fast-paced environments. This individual should be capable of building strategic platform relationships, driving aggressive revenue growth, optimizing contribution margins, and ensuring flawless execution across the value chain.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Channel Expansion
Own and scale the E-commerce and Quick Commerce business across all key marketplaces and delivery platforms.
Drive revenue growth from early-stage scale to high-volume operations with a strong focus on sustainable profitability.
Develop and execute annual, quarterly, and monthly growth plans aligned with business objectives.
Identify new growth opportunities across categories, geographies, and platform ecosystems.
Lead joint business planning (JBP) with platform partners and drive strategic visibility opportunities.
2. Marketplace Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with category managers and senior stakeholders across all major platforms.
Negotiate annual commercials, marketing spends, visibility investments, and trade terms.
Collaborate closely with platform teams to unlock growth levers including campaigns, exclusives, new launches, and assortment expansion.
Ensure strong alignment with marketplace priorities to maximize platform support and business visibility.
3. Commercial Strategy & SKU Growth
Lead onboarding and commercial closure for new product launches and portfolio expansion.
Drive assortment planning, listing optimization, pricing strategy, and promotional effectiveness across channels.
Monitor category trends, competitive pricing, and consumer demand to maximize conversion and contribution margins.
Optimize channel-level CM1/CM2 profitability through strategic pricing, trade investments, and operational efficiencies.
4. Operations & Execution Excellence
Own operational performance across inventory planning, replenishment, fill rates, service levels, and demand forecasting.
Work cross-functionally with supply chain, finance, marketing, and product teams to ensure seamless execution.
Monitor and improve operational KPIs including availability, cancellations, aging inventory, and SLA adherence.
Proactively resolve platform escalations and operational bottlenecks to ensure business continuity.
Required Experience
Proven track record of scaling E-commerce or Quick Commerce businesses from approximately ₹1–2 Cr/month to ₹10 Cr+/month.
Strong understanding of marketplace operations, supply chain coordination, and execution excellence.
Established relationships with category managers and key stakeholders across major marketplaces and quick commerce platforms.
Demonstrated experience in commercial negotiations, trade planning, and profitable growth management.
Experience working with high-growth consumer brands, preferably within D2C and House of Brands ecosystems.
Preferred Background
6–12+ years of experience in E-commerce, Quick Commerce, Modern Trade, Marketplace Growth, or Category Management roles.
Experience across consumer categories such as FMCG, home, lifestyle, electronics, beauty, or packaged foods preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in high-ownership, fast-scaling environments.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
