Job Description
The Assistant Vice President for the Corporate Systems team leads software development to support platform operations. This role requires hands-on experience in building and maintaining business applications with Power Apps, .NET, data lake, and cloud technologies, as well as familiarity with financial and HR systems. As a technical leader, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet expectations. Key responsibilities include talent management and the design, architecture, and development of both cloud-native and on-premises services that align with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to a technology team in the design, development, testing, and implementation of highly scalable technical solutions that align with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in architecture, data, product, and business to scale and modernize platforms.
- Collaborate with quality assurance engineering teams, DevOps, and the PMO to ensure adherence to all SDLC processes and Agile best practices.
- Create and apply safeguards that support self-service and seamless delivery, empowering teams to develop and manage end-to-end applications and services independently.
- Developing effective solutions by critically examining assumptions, analyzing evidence, and evaluating conclusions.
- Measure success by say/do, velocity, defect remediation, values and business outcomes to the Corporate Systems platform.
- Offer technical leadership by guiding design, following industry standards, and complying with LPL’s architecture, cloud, SDLC, and release management processes.
- Coach and mentor junior developers.
- Support, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve applications.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of hands-on engineering leadership, delivering full stack applications and supporting projects as an Engineering Tech Lead.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience in building API’s and services within .Net, AWS, Ruby, R, Python, SQL, Java Script, and native services.
- Proven proficiency with front-end frameworks, including Angular (preferred) and Nx.Js.
- Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Jest testing platforms.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with source control such as GIT, Bitbucket, or TFS.
- CI/CD experience with TeamCity, Octopus, Sonar Cube, Jenkins, Jules.
- Demonstrate expertise in ownership and production support for mission-critical applications.
- Proven experience in Finance Operations and Oracle PL/SQL development.
- 5+ years of experience with talent management.

Technical Competencies
- .Net, Python, AWS, SQL, & data pipeline development experience
- AWS Certification for a developer and/or Solution Architect associate.
- Excellent knowledge of OOP concepts, data modeling, design patterns/frameworks
- Cursor AI or CoPilot Github
Preferences
- Experience working in a Finance domain with knowledge of backend FP&A and Accounting operation
- Experience working with global delivery teams
- Experience in financial reporting
