Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an AVP - Sales, Rooftop Solar, based in Gurugram. The role involves overseeing sales operations, managing key accounts, and driving business development efforts to meet revenue goals. The AVP will lead sales teams, develop strategies to capture new opportunities, and foster client relationships to expand the company’s market presence. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure efficient execution of sales strategies, and identify ways to enhance overall operational efficiency.

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a relevant field
What You'll Do
Revenue & Business Development
• Own and deliver the annual rooftop solar sales revenue target across residential, C&I, and institutional segments
• Build a strong pipeline across RWAs, factories, warehouses, hospitals, schools, IT parks, and PSU mandates
• Develop CAPEX and RESCO (pay-as-you-save) proposals tailored to client energy profiles and payback expectations
• Leverage PM Surya Ghar Yojana and MNRE / HAREDA incentives as commercial acquisition levers
Channel & Partner Development
• Build and manage a network of channel partners, authorised installers, distributors, and referral agents
• Develop relationships with architects, real estate developers, and RWA networks for residential solar referrals
• Forge alliances with banks / NBFCs and DSA networks for customer solar financing facilitation
Team Leadership & Reporting
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance sales team — KAMs, channel executives, and pre-sales support
• Set KPIs, track pipeline health, and coach on consultative solar sales & objection handling
• Maintain CRM pipeline accuracy and provide weekly / monthly MIS and forecasting to the MD
• Represent Solis Green Synergy at industry events, solar expos, and RWA forums to build brand and generate leads
What We're Looking For
Must Have
• 10–12 years of solar sales experience in India — significant portion in rooftop solar (residential or C&I)
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual solar sales revenue targets
• Strong existing network of C&I clients, channel partners, RWAs, or institutional buyers
• Commercial fluency in both CAPEX and RESCO / OPEX solar business models
• Experience building and leading a distributed sales team across multiple geographies
• Thorough understanding of PM Surya Ghar Yojana, MNRE net metering, and state DISCOM subsidy frameworks
• B.E. / B.Tech / MBA or equivalent
Nice to Have
• Experience selling solar + BESS (Battery Energy Storage) to C&I clients
• Relationships with HAREDA, HVPNL, or state renewable energy agencies
• Experience scaling a solar sales function from ₹5 Cr to ₹50 Cr+ annual revenue
• Knowledge of solar financing products — loans, leases, DSA tie-ups with banks / NBFCs
