Job description:
· The candidate is expected to have sound background of RBI extant directions as applicable to a Domestic/Subsidiary of Foreign Bank, especially in terms of regulatory reporting.
· Lead strategic initiatives, provide regular updates and inputs for management decision making
· Thorough understanding of financial statements. Knowledge of IFRS/IND-AS will be an added advantage
· Knowledge of accounting for Treasury Products and understanding of relevant regulatory guidance around the same.
· Capable of taking initiatives for implementation of new/existing RBI circulars i.e. set up of processes, coordination with compliance and other relevant stakeholders
· Manage daily control activities in relation to RBI reporting
· Process betterments/refinements in the existing processes/ Knowledge sharing/ process backups.
- Job Responsibilities
- Submission of Regulatory Returns under supervision of reporting manager
- Risk Based Supervision (ad-hoc regulatory query management and periodic submissions)
- Support in MIS creation/betterment
- Managing day to day tasks e.g. reconciliation/day end reports, circulation of daily reports etc.
- Coordinating with other departments for data requirements
- Maintenance of MIS for NPE Budget
- Preparation of data for ad-hoc requirements from RBI
- Preparation of agenda of meetings for updates to Management such as NPE, CRAR, Key regulatory guidelines
- Knowledge sharing
- Audit Management
- Support in implementation of key regulatory frameworks
- Review existing processes, policies for refinement.
- Motivate, train, and develop staff within agreed policies and practices to maintain an effective workplace capable of meeting its objectives
- Maintaining strong risk management culture
Note: The scope of work above is indicative but not exhaustive in nature, the incumbent may be required to assist the team on other activities on need basis and as part of progress plan.
Profile description:
(a) Knowledge – Preparation of Indian GAAP, IFRS, IND-AS, Regulatory guidelines/directions relevant to reporting, product accounting
(b) Skills – Strong Communication and analytical skills, excellent negotiation skills, project management and decision-making abilities
Strong Interpersonal skills as dependency outside team for data.
(c) Experience – 7-10 years of experience, in the relevant area as mentioned above, team handling and working in a cross-cultural environment
Qualifications - CA and/or higher equivalent qualification
