Overview
The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Infrastructure Engineer – On‑Prem is a senior individual contributor responsible for designing, building, and operating enterprise on‑premises infrastructure platforms. This role supports data center modernization, transformation, and migration initiatives, including data center exits and hybrid cloud integration.
You will work closely with Architecture, Security, Networking, and Application teams to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure solutions in a regulated enterprise environment.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and operate on‑prem infrastructure platforms across compute, storage, networking, and virtualization
- Support data center modernization, consolidation, and migration initiatives
- Engineer highly available and resilient platforms aligned with security and disaster recovery standards
- Drive infrastructure standardization and automation where applicable
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and support production stability
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to support application onboarding and migrations
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience
- Strong hands‑on experience with on‑prem data center technologies (servers, virtualization, storage, networking)
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux server platforms
- Proven ability to support mission‑critical, regulated workloads
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with data center migrations or exits
- Hybrid on‑prem / cloud experience
- Automation or scripting experience (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Python)
- Financial services or other regulated industry experience
