Job Title: AVP - Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF) Business Services - CIB COO
In This Role, You Will
- Develop and manage a structured technical training and competency infrastructure for all GTS Ops staff in GSC India, incorporating all product-related training, systems, and financial crime compliance.
- Role also covers training need analysis, training design and delivery channels, include e-learning, classroom and on the job training, with assessments for all trainees.
- Through training, to significantly improve the time taken to make new recruits productive.
- Training to cover Technical Trade, Mandatory learning including financial crime and sanctions, relevant GOPs/FIMs and Trade operating system for example HTS/HIE/WDM.
- The role holder will also be responsible for providing critical inputs for annual training plan development and to ensure training is delivered in line with this plan.
- Is accountable for the effectiveness of the Technical Training with an emphasis on product/process/system (HTS/HIE/WDM etc.) related training.
- Design and deliver in-house process training for staff, covering onboarding and BAU training.
- Support the introduction of new technology / workflows through the development of training program and materials.
- Proactively assess the training requirements through training needs analysis of immediate, future, and potential changes in business demands including emerging trends relating to GSC performance metrics.
- Monitor, track and report training /development plan progress.
Customers / Stakeholders
- Drive and monitor delivery of all learning solutions to ensure quality and standards are always maintained for all target level audiences.
- Build a core technical training and competency capability through effective development of FTE in scope
- Produce accurate training materials within agreed timescales, in conjunction with Learning & Development where applicable, the global support utility and HR as required.
Leadership & Teamwork
- Work closely with Op leads, QA, other GTS functions to identify further learning needs and developing training programs / materials to cover as appropriate.
- Designs, assesses, coordinate training plans and curriculum to build team capability and competence, liaising with the Learning & Development, customer feedback, direct reports and line managers as required.
- Enhance productivity of select teams / individuals through facilitating appropriate learning and development.
- Collaborate with the Centralized Training Team to produce and enhance digitized content to facilitate e-learning.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
- Evaluate progress of trainee and trainer performance through feedback surveys.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentary evidence of training, assessments, assessment scores and training materials used in GSC India
- Monitor, record, and evaluate training activities and program effectiveness and share relevant MI with stakeholders
- Develop and implement a staff accreditation model that certifies employee readiness to deliver business goals
- Conversant with FIM and GOP for GTS.
To Be Successful You Will
- University degree in business or related discipline. Operational knowledge of trade finance products, policies and procedures
- In-depth understanding of the GTS/Trade Finance business and processes both technically and from a financial crime perspective
- Familiarity with Trade systems (HTS/HIE/WDM) and has preferably training experience in an operational environment
- Experience in a customer service environment or related position in a financial services organisation
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of key products and propositions in GTS.
- Thorough appreciation and understanding of FCC risks and controls applicable to GTS
- Understanding of internal control, risk management (operations) and quality audit parameters
- Experience in creating curriculum, presentations and facilitator guides.
- Computer literacy (word processing, spreadsheets and database applications)
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
- Good time management and organizational skills with ability to deliver within tight deadlines
