The AVP Data Analytics & Reporting - India serves as the senior offshore leader for analytics development, responsible for designing and maintaining advanced Power BI dashboards, integrating live data sources, and leveraging AI-driven capabilities to elevate the organization’s reporting ecosystem.
This role partners closely with the U.S. analytics team to deliver high-quality dashboards, maintain global data pipelines, and provide leadership across offshore team members.
Key Responsibilities
Power BI Leadership & Development
- Serve as a senior technical owner of complex Power BI dashboards, models, and datasets.
- Build, optimize, and maintain advanced data models using DAX, M Query, and Python integrations.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, governance, naming conventions, and standards.
- Manage offshore portions of deployment cycles, refresh monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Live Data Integration & Engineering
- Connect and manage live, streaming, or API-driven data sources, including:
- Jira connectors
- SQL databases
- SharePoint lists
- Cloud platforms
- REST APIs
- Implement and manage automated pipelines, dataflows, and high‑availability refresh strategies.
- Proactively identify blockers and design alternative technical solutions.
AI-Driven Analytics & Modern Tooling
- Use AI capabilities (Copilot, Microsoft Fabric AI features, Python ML, Power BI AI visuals) to:
- Enhance dashboards
- Automate repetitive development tasks
- Improve insight depth
- Expand team capability in emerging analytics technologies
- Continuously evaluate and introduce new AI tools to advance reporting maturity.
Python, Anaconda, & Advanced Data Preparation
- Build Python scripts to support data transformation, modeling, and custom visualizations.
- Manage Anaconda environments and Python packages for analytics workflows.
- Integrate advanced analytics outputs into Power BI dashboards.
Team Collaboration & Follow‑the‑Sun Delivery
- Provide continuous development progress by advancing work during U.S. off‑hours.
- Maintain strong communication and alignment through structured handoffs.
- Mentor junior offshore resources and support U.S. junior analysts as needed.
SharePoint & Jira Expertise
- Assist team members in integrating Jira data across multiple data sources.
- Provide support on SharePoint list connectivity, transformations, and optimization.
