About the role

Avon Health Center, family owned since 1974, provides a range of services, including skilled nursing care, post-acute medical and rehabilitation care, hospice and respite care. We are a 120 bed facility with a 30 bed post-acute/rehab unit. Our Facility has an excellent reputation in the community and we are looking for caring persons to provide leadership and drive the quality care we are known for to our residents.

Avon Health Center is seeking a per diem Dietary Aide!
$17.50/hour
$0.75 Weekend Differential

As dietary aide, you will help to prepare and serve food in a family-owned, friendly nursing home setting. You will report to the Director of Dining Services. This is a per diem (as needed) position that may lead to part time or full time.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

- Washing/cleaning/washroom duties
- Delivery of food to facility residents
- Assisting in kitchen as needed
- Must be 16 or older
- Help prepare food/meals

EXPERIENCE:

Experience preferred but will train the right candidate!

Additional Qualifications:

Work independently and as a team player
Communicate well
Deal tactfully with resident, family members, and staff
May be required to stand for long periods of time
May have to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies without restrictions
Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed by the department
