Aviator Nation Dreamland Prep Cook is responsible for prepping, cooking and assisting in production of the food to be served. Duties will include prep list, prepping ingredients, washing, cutting and prepping them to the rules of the chef. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment as well as keeping a sanitized work station. Strong knife skills and understanding of health department basics and certificates.
Main duties will be:
-Adhere to all recipes
-Prep all raw produce for use
-Prep Proteins for use
-Prep all sauces for use
-Portion food per quantity based on what is ordered.
-Assist line cooks with replenishing when needed.
-Put away incoming orders

-Ability to stand for long periods of time
-Label and date all items prepped and other parishables.
-Basic cooking skills.
The prep cook is an essential part of the kitchen team. It is crucial to know and understand all these duties and to be able to perform them. Being able to handle stressful situations and complete duties are a must. Strong organizational skills and good communication is key. The prep cook's duties include, but are not limited to, the tasks outlined in the job description, as well as any other needs that contribute to the restaurant's overall success.

● Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, climb, walk, and stand for long durations of time.
● Ability to move and lift equipment and supplies of up to 50 pounds.

● The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Rate of Pay and Benefits
● Starting rate of $20-$22/hr DOE

Salary Range – California
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Aviator Nation includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. In addition, where a candidate falls within the disclosed range estimate may be dependent on the applicable geographic differential associated with the location in which the position may be filled.
