Description
The ISD Specialist designs and develops curriculum for aviation training organizations using the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and Instructional System Development (ISD) I theory. The ISD Specialist must be able to analyze data, design a course, and translate principles of learning and instruction into instructional materials, activities, information resources, and evaluation.

- Uses working knowledge of the Instructional Systems Development (ISD) theory and process.
- Designs and develops curriculum using the SAT.
- Assist technical writers in the development of training materials ensuring all development stems from an analysis.
- Group tasks into modules of training and develop appropriate testing instruments.
- Design and develop teaching aids such as lesson plans, programs of instruction, job aids and student materials using data item descriptions (DIDs).
- Conduct media analysis to determine instructional methods.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance

- Bachelor’s degree in Workforce Education & Training, Occupational Education, Instructional Design, or other closely related areas of knowledge.
- 2 years’ experience in training, or ISD with demonstrated ability to create training materials using the SAT/ISD process.
- 6 years’ experience of ISD experience in a corporate office.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of military aviation pilot, enlisted aircrew, and maintenance training.
- Experience in the defense contracting industry.
