Job Description:

Are you a mechanically inclined problem-solver who enjoys "owning" a piece of technology to hit production goals? Avery Dennison is looking for a Machine Technician to join our coating team. In this role, you will lead the daily operations of a coating line, ensuring high-quality output while fostering a safe and collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day)

  • Own the Line: Lead the operation of the coater, including setups, changeovers, and equipment adjustments to meet production schedules.

  • Problem Solve: Use your curiosity to troubleshoot abnormalities and find root-cause solutions rather than "band-aid" fixes.

  • Focus on Quality: Monitor gauges, meters, and flow ratios to ensure every product meets our "zero-defect" standards.

  • Lead with Safety: Maintain a safe workspace, identifying and escalating issues immediately to protect yourself and your teammates.

  • Collaborate: Direct tasks for your station, lead shift turnover discussions, and support team members to reach site goals.

Qualifications:

What You Bring (Qualifications)

  • Experience: High school diploma/GED OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience.

  • Technical Skill: Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using computer systems (ERP) for production flow.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor close tolerances and maintain accurate production logs.

  • Adaptability: A "team-before-self" mindset, willing to cross-train on different assets or support coworkers as priorities shift.

  • Physical Agility: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout your shift.

Shift & Compensation

  • Shift: Mon-Fri, 3:45pm-12am

  • Starting Pay: $27.54/hr plus $2/hr shift differential
