JOB SUMMARY:

The Bilingual Program Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the mission of Avanzando Juntos by coordinating programs and engaging with small business owners in the community. This role will involve managing the logistics of our programs, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and conducting outreach to connect underserved entrepreneurs with resources, education, and capital. The ideal candidate is passionate about empowering small businesses and has strong organizational and communication skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Program Planning and Development

  • Design and implement programs that align with the mission of Avanzando Juntos to empower and support the Hispanic community.
  • Identify community needs and develop initiatives to address them.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to set program goals and objectives.
  • Ensure all programs reflect cultural competence and are inclusive of the diverse needs of the Hispanic community.

2. Community Engagement

  • Build and maintain trust with the Hispanic community by fostering open communication and understanding.
  • Act as a liaison between Avanzando Juntos and community members, listening to their needs and aspirations.
  • Organize outreach activities to promote programs and services, ensuring maximum participation.
  • Develop partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders to strengthen program impact.

3. Program Coordination and Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned programs, ensuring they run smoothly and effectively.
  • Manage budgets and resources for programs, ensuring optimal use of available funds.
  • Track program metrics and outcomes, preparing regular reports to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate logistics for events, workshops, and training sessions.

4. Volunteer and Staff Coordination

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support program activities.
  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure program goals are met.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that reflects the values of AvanzandoJuntos.

5. Cultural Advocacy and Representation

  • Serve as an ambassador for Avanzando Juntos, representing the organization in a professional manner at community events and meetings.
  • Advocate for the needs and contributions of the Hispanic community within the broader community.
  • Promote cultural awareness and sensitivity within program activities and communications.

6. Communication and Reporting

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Executive Director and team members.
  • Prepare and present updates on program progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Develop promotional materials and content for social media, newsletters, and other platforms to increase program visibility.

7. Adaptability and Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor community trends and adapt programs to meet evolving needs.
  • Stay updated on best practices in program coordination, community engagement, and cultural competency.
  • Proactively seek feedback from participants and partners to continuously improve program delivery.

8. Strategic Alignment with Mission and Vision

  • Uphold the mission of Avanzando Juntos by working to empower the Hispanic community through education, resources, and opportunities.
  • Strive to achieve the organization’s vision of fostering a thriving, inclusive community.
  • Align all duties with the core values of equity, respect, and cultural understanding.

KEY DUTIES 

  • Workshops

Responsible for recruiting clients and guest speakers, catering, payments, and reminders. Have materials ready and make sure the setup is ready. 

  • Networking Events

Plan and recruit for networking events.

  • Data Tracking and Reporting

Maintain Data Up to Date by collecting and presenting reports.

  • TEDC Hours

Entering hours to TEDC Portal

  • Marketing

Creating and designing Marketing Materials

  • Social media

Log in to Trello to make sure posts are getting posted and approved

  • Leads

Follow up with potential leads or reorient them - Workshops - Loans - Partners.
