About the Project
Swasthya Setu is a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU)-based healthcare initiative aimed at improving
access to essential healthcare services in underserved rural villages of Kanpur Dehat, with a special
focus on women and adolescent girls.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Nursing Support
- Assist the Gynaecologist/Medical Officer during clinical consultations and outreach visits.
- Provide nursing and patient care support during gynaecological and reproductive health
- consultations.
- Conduct basic health assessments including BP, haemoglobin, and blood sugar screening.
- Support patient referrals and follow-up care.
- Maintain medicine stock, monitor expiry dates, and support medicine distribution during OPDs
- and health camps.
Counselling & Awareness
Conduct counselling sessions on:
- Antenatal Care (ANC)
- Postnatal Care (PNC)
- Menstrual and reproductive health
- Nutrition and adolescent health
Support community awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene, anaemia prevention, maternal
health, and adolescent health.
Referral & Community Coordination
- Coordinate with ASHAs, ANMs, PHCs, CHCs, schools, and community stakeholders for patient referrals and outreach activities.
- Support beneficiaries in accessing government health schemes and referral services.
Documentation
- Maintain patient records, referral registers, and basic activity reports.
- Maintain patient records, digital and manual patient registration data, referral registers, and basic activity reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- ANM certification from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the relevant Nursing Council.
- Good communication and counselling skills.
- Basic documentation and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel within project areas.
