Job details:
Automotive Systems EngineerJORO Systems Pvt. Ltd.
Location: Chennai / Bengaluru / Remote (India)
Type: Full-time
About JOROJORO is building the Safety Intelligence Layer for vehicles.
We help automotive OEMs understand what is actually happening in vehicles after sale, across real-world behavior, safety risk, system failures, and ADAS performance.
We are building at the intersection of:
automotive + software + systems intelligence + real-world safety.
This is an early, high-ownership role for someone who wants to help build something that should exist in the future of vehicles.
The RoleWe are looking for an Automotive Systems Engineer who is not just “from automotive”, but someone who can think, build, debug, and ship.
You should be comfortable going from:
- vehicle behavior
- to engineering logic
- to data interpretation
- to actual implementation
This role is for someone who can get their hands dirty.
You will work on the core layer of JORO — helping us understand vehicles, interpret real-world behavior, define logic, build intelligence, and turn raw signals into something useful for OEMs.
If you are the kind of person who likes asking:
“What exactly happened here, and how do we build a system that understands it?”
This role is for you.
What You’ll Do- Work on the engineering backbone of JORO’s product
- Understand and model real-world vehicle behavior
- Interpret data from vehicles, systems, and events
- Build logic around:
- unsafe behavior
- abnormal patterns
- system anomalies
- failure signals
- ADAS-related behavior
- Work with raw and imperfect vehicle data
- Help define how JORO detects, classifies, and understands safety-relevant events
- Translate automotive understanding into usable product and engineering systems
- Collaborate across software, product, and engineering
- Prototype fast, test assumptions, and improve system logic continuously
- Help shape the product from zero to something real and defensible
What We NeedWe want someone who can operate across both automotive understanding and technical execution.
You should ideally have- Strong understanding of vehicle systems and vehicle behavior
- Good intuition for:
- vehicle dynamics
- braking / steering / chassis behavior
- system failures
- ADAS or assisted driving behavior
- edge cases in real-world driving
- Ability to work with:
- logs
- signals
- event-level data
- messy engineering inputs
- Comfort with coding / scripting / technical implementation
- (Python preferred)
- Ability to think in:
- systems
- root cause
- failure modes
- engineering logic
- Strong first-principles thinking
- Bias toward building, not just discussing
Strong Plus If You’ve Worked With- CAN / ECU / DTC / sensor-level data
- ADAS validation / vehicle testing / diagnostics / field quality
- Telematics / event reconstruction / data pipelines
- Vehicle analytics / embedded systems / signal interpretation
- Python, SQL, scripting, or data workflows
- Fast prototyping and working closely with product/software teams
Who Should ApplyThis role is for you if:
- you are an engineer first, not a process follower
- you like messy real-world technical problems
- you can go deep into both vehicles and systems
- you are comfortable figuring things out without a playbook
- you are willing to do whatever is needed to make the product work
- you want to build, not just be part of a team that talks about building
This is not a narrow function role.
This is for someone who wants to be in the room where the core product gets built.
What We Care AboutWe care more about:
- how you think,
- what you can build,
- how fast you learn,
- and whether you can turn ambiguity into working systems
than we care about polished resumes or a perfect pedigree.
If you’re strong, technical, hungry, and serious about building in automotive, we want to talk.
Why Join- Work on a problem that actually matters
- Build in a space that is still largely undefined
- Join early and have real ownership
- Help create a new layer in the future automotive stack
- Be part of building something hard, technical, and meaningful
