Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for an Automotive Claims Adjuster, based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Automotive Claims Adjuster will review and evaluate auto insurance claims, verify policy coverage, assess vehicle and property damage, and determine appropriate claim settlements in line with company guidelines. The role involves coordinating inspections, analyzing repair estimates, negotiating with repair workshops and other stakeholders, and documenting all findings accurately in claims systems. The individual will communicate with policyholders, third parties, and internal teams to gather information, resolve queries, and ensure prompt and fair claims resolution. The role also includes maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting process improvements, and contributing to a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in claims handling, including assessment, documentation, and settlement of insurance claims.
- Solid understanding of insurance principles and practices, particularly in general and motor insurance.
- Experience with auto claims and property damage evaluation, including interpretation of repair estimates and inspection reports.
- Knowledge of insurance claims processes, regulatory requirements, and internal audit standards.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities for interacting with customers, workshops, and internal stakeholders.
- Comfort with using claims management software and basic office productivity tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; additional certification in insurance (e.g., Licentiate or Associate from insurance institutes) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in motor claims or general insurance operations is preferred but not mandatory.
