Role Description The Automation Tester will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of VYUG’s metaverse platform and related services. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with developers and product teams to understand requirements, creating and maintaining test cases, performing manual and automated functional, regression, and integration testing, and conducting API testing for backend services. The role involves analyzing test results, identifying defects, documenting issues clearly, and supporting troubleshooting and root cause analysis. The Automation Tester will also contribute to improving testing frameworks, tools, and processes, and help uphold best practices in quality assurance. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida.
Qualifications
- Strong Quality Assurance fundamentals, including test planning, test design, and defect lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with Manual Testing and creating structured Test Cases for web and distributed applications.
- Practical experience in API Testing, including use of tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar.
- Proficiency in Automation testing using frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar), including script development and maintenance.
- Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies, and experience working in cross-functional product teams.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to document issues clearly.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience testing complex platforms such as distributed systems, blockchain-based applications, or virtual/3D environments is an advantage.
