Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Automation Tester with
2+ years of experience in software testing and test automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and/or mobile applications.
- Execute automated and manual test cases to identify defects and ensure product quality.
- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and product managers to understand requirements and testing needs.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Analyze test results, log defects, and track issues using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
- Participate in test planning, test case design, and test execution activities.
- Ensure automation scripts are reusable, scalable, and maintainable.
- Work closely with the development team to improve test coverage and quality processes.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
- Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience with TestNG, JUnit, Mocha, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of API testing (Postman, Rest Assured).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Experience with mobile test automation (Appium).
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
