We are looking for a strong Automation Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and managing automation frameworks using Java or JavaScript technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Selenium, TestNG, API automation, UI automation, database validation, and CI/CD setup. Experience working on cloud-based applications, troubleshooting defects, and supporting automation for distributed enterprise or eCommerce platforms is required.
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Automation Testing
- Strong hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver
- Good experience in Java for automation development
- Experience with TestNG / JUnit / Cucumber
- UI and Web Application Automation
- API / Web Services testing: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML
- Experience in database validation using Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Strong troubleshooting and defect analysis skills
- Experience in CI/CD pipeline setup
- Experience in test planning, test case creation, and automation execution
Good-to-Have Skills
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Spring Boot / Spring Cloud
- Kafka automation
- FTP / SFTP automation
- Mobile app automation using open-source tools
- Performance testing using JMeter / JProfiler
- Knowledge of cloud-based application architecture
- Hands-on development of small UI tools/utilities for testing acceleration
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and enhance automation frameworks using Java/JavaScript
- Automate testing across UI, API, Web Services, Database, FTP/SFTP, Kafka
- Perform end-to-end automation for large-scale web/eCommerce applications
- Write automated test plans and test cases
- Work with development teams to improve code coverage and release quality
- Support CI/CD improvements and automation innovation
- Troubleshoot critical defects and identify root causes
- Improve and optimize QA processes across the SDLC
- Perform manual and automation validation where needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of QA/Automation Testing experience
- At least 2+ years of scripting experience in Java or JavaScript
- Experience in testing REST APIs, Web Services, UI, DB validation
- Strong knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, headers, verbs (GET, POST, etc.)
- Experience with Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber
- Hands-on experience with relational databases
- Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
