Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced QC Automation Engineer specializing in Playwright and TypeScript to develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks supporting our software products. This role involves creating reliable, scalable automation scripts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify test requirements, and ensuring quality across web and API layers. The ideal candidate will stay current with emerging testing methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement in automation practices supporting enterprise delivery.
Software Requirements
Required Software Proficiency:
- Playwright (latest version) — hands-on experience designing and maintaining automation scripts for web UI and API testing
- TypeScript — proficiency in writing scalable, maintainable automation code supporting end-to-end testing
- JavaScript (ES6+) — supporting scripting and test automation in web environments
- Testing frameworks: Jest, Mocha, or Playwright’s own test runner support — for unit, integration, and end-to-end test support
- Version control: Git and GitHub — for managing automation codebases and collaboration support
- Browsers support: Chrome, Firefox, Edge supporting cross-browser testing support supporting enterprise standards
Preferred Software Skills:
- API testing tools: Postman, REST API documentation, and validation support
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI supporting automated build and deployment pipelines
- Performance testing tools support: support for load testing of APIs and web apps supporting scalability testing
Overall Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable automation scripts for web UI and API testing supporting enterprise applications
- Support automation efforts supporting CI/CD pipelines, continuous testing, and deployment processes
- Collaborate with developers, product teams, and QA to identify test cases, automate validation, and improve testing coverage
- Drive best practices in automation scripting, code maintainability, and reusability for enterprise standards
- Conduct automated regression, performance, and security testing supporting high-quality standards
- Troubleshoot automation failures, optimize scripts for speed and reliability, and support troubleshooting workflows
- Stay updated with new automation tools, frameworks, and testing practices, recommending process improvements
- Document automation architecture, scripts, test cases, and operational procedures supporting compliance and audit readiness

- Hands-on experience supporting CI/CD automation supporting rapid DevOps cycles in agile environments
- Industry experience supporting enterprise-grade applications in regulated sectors (preferred)
- Background supporting automation in web and API testing supporting compliance and security standards
Day-to-Day Activities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Playwright-based automation scripts for web and API testing
- Automate regression, functional, and performance tests supporting continuous integration cycles
- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to expand automation coverage and validate new features
- Troubleshoot automation failures, perform root cause analysis, and optimize scripts for speed and reliability
- Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests supporting page performance, security, and deployment checks
- Maintain detailed documentation including test plans, scripts, and operational procedures
- Support troubleshooting workflows for automation failures across web and API environments
- Assist in performance and load testing exercises for scalability assessments supporting enterprise standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years supporting automation frameworks supporting enterprise web and API testing
- Certifications in automation tools (e.g., ISTQB, Playwright certifications) are preferred
- Proven experience implementing automation practices supporting continuous delivery in regulated environments
