Role Description As an Automation Test Analyst at ellipa, you will work on-site in Hyderabad in a full-time capacity, collaborating with developers, product owners, and other QA professionals to ensure the quality of software releases. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, as well as execute manual tests when needed to validate functionality, performance, and reliability. Your daily responsibilities will include analyzing requirements, creating and reviewing test cases, performing API and UI testing, and logging and tracking defects through resolution. You will also contribute to test planning, regression test suites, and continuous integration pipelines, while providing clear test reports and quality insights to the team. In this role, you will help refine testing processes and advocate for best practices in quality assurance across projects.
Qualifications
- Strong Quality Assurance fundamentals, including understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and test planning.
- Hands-on experience with Manual Testing and creating, executing, and maintaining detailed Test Cases.
- Proficiency in Automation testing, including designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites (UI and/or API).
- Practical experience in API Testing using relevant tools and frameworks, with the ability to validate request/response flows and integrations.
- Ability to analyze requirements, identify edge cases, and ensure comprehensive test coverage for complex features.
- Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD tools to integrate automated tests into build pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate issues and risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in agile development environments and collaboration with cross-functional teams is highly beneficial.
