Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute engineering-grade automation frameworks using any BDD tool like Specflow/ReqnRoll and Selenium (C#/Java).
- Build scalable, reusable test solutions beyond basic scripting, including libraries, utilities, and services.
- Develop and maintain automated UI, API, and end-to-end test scripts ensuring high reliability and coverage.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and cross-browser testing across web and cloud-based systems.
- Work on Azure-based cloud-native applications, validating APIs, event-driven systems, and microservices architectures.
- Collaborate with development teams to test infrastructure, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement performance and non-functional testing using JMeter, defining benchmarks and validating system behaviour.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in BDD and Selenium (C#/Java) for backend automation.
- Proficiency in C# coding with solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience in designing automation frameworks (POM, data-driven, hybrid frameworks) and reusable test components.
- Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with JMeter for performance testing (good to have but preferred).
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Understanding of cloud environments (Azure) and testing distributed/microservices-based systems.
- Exposure to AI-driven test automation tools and intelligent testing approaches.
Soft Skills & Leadership:
• Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex technical architectures to executive stakeholders and developers alike.
• Strong analytical mind with a passion for problem-solving, debugging complex asynchronous issues, and elimination of test flakiness.
• Proven ability to lead by influence across cross-functional engineering teams.
Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience implementing AI/ML-driven testing tools or visual regression testing (e.g., Applitools, Percy).
• Active contributor to open-source testing projects or a recognized technical speaker/blogger in the QA community.
