Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automation Engineer role based in Chennai. The Automation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automation systems to improve process efficiency, reliability, and safety. Daily responsibilities include configuring and optimizing process control systems, integrating electrical and mechanical components, and supporting robotics and automated equipment. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions. The Automation Engineer will also document configurations, support preventive maintenance activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across production and engineering operations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Automation and Process Control for designing, configuring, and optimizing automated systems.
- Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering knowledge to work with control panels, wiring, sensors, and industrial equipment.
- Candidates should possess experience in Robotics and related technologies for deploying and supporting robotic or automated machinery.
- Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues in control and automation systems.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, HMI, industrial communication protocols, and safety standards is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively on-site in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in industrial automation, manufacturing, or process industries is an advantage.
