Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automation Engineer role based in the Pune District. The Automation Engineer will design, develop, and implement robotic and automation solutions for industrial applications, working closely with project and production teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating system layouts, selecting components, programming and integrating robots and controllers, and conducting testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated systems. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, collaborating with clients to understand requirements, supporting installation and commissioning at customer sites, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in automation and robotics engineering, including control systems, industrial automation concepts, and robot integration.
- Experience with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus) is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in engineering design tools and CAD software for system layout and mechanical or electrical design of automation solutions.
- Ability to perform system testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of robotic cells, sensors, actuators, and related equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices for designing and operating automated systems in manufacturing environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site and interact professionally with customers.
- Willingness to work in an industrial setting, occasionally visit customer facilities, and adapt to project-based schedules and priorities.
