About the Role: We're seeking a motivated intern to research and implement state-of-the-art AI models that transform and enhance AI-generated images into photorealistic outputs. You'll work with cutting-edge generative AI technologies including Stable Diffusion, image upscaling models, and face restoration networks.
Responsibilities:
- Research and evaluate open-source image enhancement models (Real-ESRGAN, GFPGAN, CodeFormer)
- Implement and optimize image-to-image pipelines using Stable Diffusion and ControlNet
- Experiment with photorealistic checkpoint models and refinement techniques
- Develop automated workflows for multi-step image enhancement processes
- Document findings and create technical reports on methodology effectiveness
- Integrate multiple models into cohesive enhancement pipelines
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field (or just finished)
- Strong Python programming skills
- Familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Understanding of computer vision fundamentals
- Experience with image processing libraries (PIL, OpenCV, NumPy)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI, or Automatic1111
- Knowledge of diffusion models or transformer architectures
- Experience with Hugging Face, Replicate, or similar ML platforms
- Familiarity with GPU computing (CUDA)
- Previous work with ControlNet, LoRA, or similar fine-tuning techniques is appreciated
Technical Skills:
- Python, Git, Linux/command line
- Deep learning frameworks (PyTorch preferred)
- Image processing and computer vision libraries
- Model inference and optimization
