Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automation Engineer role based in Ahmedabad. The Automation Engineer will design, program, test, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for industrial automation projects. Daily responsibilities include configuring control systems, integrating sensors and instrumentation, developing and optimizing process control logic, and collaborating with electrical and mechanical teams on system layouts and wiring. The role involves diagnosing and resolving automation issues, providing technical support during installation and commissioning, and preparing documentation such as functional specifications, IO lists, and operation manuals. The Automation Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist in ensuring systems meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Automation and Process Control, with experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming and configuration.
- Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, including control panel design, wiring, and understanding of industrial power and control circuits.
- Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting of automation systems, sensors, instrumentation, and industrial networking issues.
- Exposure to Robotics or motion control systems and their integration into automated processes is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) and PLC/HMI platforms from major vendors.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to safety and compliance standards.
- Ability to work on-site at customer locations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
