Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in PLC design, SCADA, HMI, Energy Management Systems (EMS), and electrical power generation & distribution systems up to 33 kV. The candidate should have practical field experience in system execution, troubleshooting, commissioning, and project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement PLC-based automation systems.
- Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and project documentation.
- Execute and supervise automation and electrical projects at site.
- Configure and troubleshoot SCADA, HMI, and EMS systems.
- Perform testing, commissioning, and integration of electrical and automation systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLCs, control panels, communication networks, and field devices.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and clients for smooth project execution.
- Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Prepare reports related to project progress, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Support operation and maintenance teams during system handover.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of:
- PLC Programming & Control Logic
- SCADA & HMI Systems
- Energy Management Systems (EMS)
- Electrical Power Distribution up to 33 kV
- Control Panels & Field Instrumentation
- Experience in project execution, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, SLDs, and control schematics.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in power plants, substations, industrial automation, or utility projects.
- Exposure to DG synchronization, power monitoring systems, and energy optimization solutions will be an added advantage.
