Role Description The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions for industrial processes and electrical systems. Day-to-day tasks include developing and configuring control logic, programming PLCs and related controllers, integrating robotics and instrumentation, and optimizing process control for safety and efficiency. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting automation and electrical issues on-site and remotely, coordinating with design, manufacturing, and commissioning teams, and preparing technical documentation, test procedures, and reports. The Automation Engineer will also support installation, testing, and commissioning activities at client locations, as well as ongoing maintenance and system upgrades. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Ghaziabad, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Automation and Process Control, including PLC/DCS programming, SCADA/HMI configuration, and industrial communication protocols.
- Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering skills, including understanding of power distribution, control panels, wiring, and relevant standards and safety practices.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving issues in automation systems, electrical equipment, and field instrumentation.
- Candidates should possess Robotics-related skills, such as integration of robotic systems into automated lines, basic programming, and safety considerations.
- Relevant skills such as familiarity with industry-specific sensors and actuators, VFDs/servo drives, and process instrumentation are beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related Engineering field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, clear technical communication, and the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are required.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed and adapt to both on-site and remote work environments is expected.
