GCI Groups is a leading engineering and manufacturing company specializing in advanced automation solutions, precast concrete machinery, and industrial equipment. We are looking for a skilled Automation & Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of world-class automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain PLC-based automation systems for industrial machinery.
- Develop new electrical schematics and control panel designs using industry-standard electrical CAD software.
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC applications, primarily using Omron automation platforms.
- Collaborate with mechanical, production, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless machine integration.
- Prepare technical manuals, electrical documentation, wiring diagrams, and operating instructions.
- Support machine commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and engineering best practices.
- Work closely with internal teams and international stakeholders on automation projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- 7 to 15 years of relevant experience in industrial automation and electrical design.
- Strong expertise in Omron PLCs, including Sysmac Studio and CX-Programmer.
- Experience with other PLC platforms such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, or Schneider will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience in electrical schematic design using SPAC Automazione, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent software.
- Ability to create clear and structured technical documentation and user manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of industrial control systems, sensors, drives, HMIs, and field instrumentation.
