About The Role
This role will be responsible for the end to end installation and commissioning of advanced control systems, working independently or as part of a team depending on project scope. Our solutions are deployed across cement and minerals industries worldwide, covering greenfield projects, brownfield upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
The role involves significant global travel and offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects. It requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer-facing skills, as you will collaborate closely with clients to ensure successful project delivery and long-term system performance.
Your Responsibilities :
- Responsible for installation, supervision, and commissioning of Control & Instrumentation systems across project sites
- Commissioning of complete instrumentation and control systems in Cement, Mining industries, and Captive Power Plants (CPPs)
- Extensive domestic and international travel for commissioning, service support, troubleshooting, AMCs, and site audits
- Ensure strict adherence to equipment safety and personal safety standards at all times
- Coordinate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal teams including the Chennai office
- Prepare and maintain complete site documentation including project schedules, site reports, learning reports, protocols, punch lists, and checklists
- Track and report project progress with respect to quality standards, timelines, and deliverables
- Support development of service business and ensure adherence to departmental guidelines
- Contribute to generating sales leads through site interactions and customer engagement
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and management, ensuring timely and accurate information flow
- Proactively identify, address, and resolve site issues in a structured and timely manner
- Encourage innovative and efficient working practices within the team to improve departmental performance
- Ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and in line with expected quality standards
- Participate in periodic project reviews and ensure timely reporting of project status
You bring
- Hands-on experience in PLC and DCS programming, testing, and commissioning across platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, and Schneider
- Experience in programming, testing, and commissioning of Intelligent MCC systems
- Strong exposure to SCADA and HMI system development, configuration, and testing
- Site supervision experience for installation and commissioning of Control & Instrumentation systems in Cement, Material Handling, and Mineral Processing industries
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols including Modbus, Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, and DeviceNet
- Exposure to FLS Automation ECS (v7/v8) will be considered an added advantage
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks through effective planning and prioritization
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work in diverse site environments
- Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and delivery excellence
- Self-motivated professional with a positive and proactive approach
- Willingness to travel extensively for site execution and commissioning activities (up to 250–300 days per year)
