Job Responsibilities
- Test Automation Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or TestComplete.
- Ensure automated tests cover functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing.
- Framework Maintenance:
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks to support multiple projects.
- Optimize frameworks for faster execution and greater coverage.
- Test Execution and Reporting:
- Execute automated test cases and analyze test results to identify bugs and performance issues.
- Prepare detailed test reports and communicate findings to the development and QA teams.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with development teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Assist manual testers in transitioning to automation tools and methodologies.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools, techniques, and trends.
- Implement best practices to improve the efficiency and reliability of testing processes.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years in test automation engineering or related roles.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C# for writing automated scripts.
- Expertise in test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or TestNG.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI for test integration.
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer Certification or equivalent.
- Certifications in relevant automation tools or frameworks.
Remuneration
- Base Salary: QAR 120,000–QAR 180,000 annually (based on experience and market trends for 2025).
