Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with experience in AutoCAD and EPLAN for our Chennai operations. The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining electrical design documents, including schematics, single-line diagrams, and control panel layouts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare electrical schematics, SLDs, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD/EPLAN
- Develop Bill of Materials (BOM), cable schedules, and technical documentation
- Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical standards and project requirements
- Coordinate with project, production, and site teams for design execution and clarifications
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning activities when required
- Handle design revisions, updates, and maintain proper documentation control
- Assist in troubleshooting and continuous improvement of design processes
Qualification:
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical, EEE, ECE, or E&I Engineering
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in electrical design using AutoCAD/EPLAN
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and EPLAN
- Knowledge of electrical panel design and industrial automation systems
- Understanding of electrical standards and drawing practices
- Basic knowledge of PLC panels and control systems (added advantage)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work from Chennai location
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Immediate joiners preferred
