AutoCAD Draftsman – Land & Topographical Survey (AutoCAD & GIS)

Job Introduction

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Draftsman with strong expertise in land and topographical survey drawings. The ideal candidate will primarily work on AutoCAD-based drafting and also support GIS-related tasks using industry-standard software such as ArcMap, ArcGIS, and Global Mapper.

The role is based at our office in Gurugram (Sector 72A) and involves working closely with survey engineers and project teams to prepare accurate, high-quality drawings and spatial data for infrastructure and survey projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesAutoCAD Drafting

• Prepare land survey, topographical survey, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
• Draft contours, spot levels, site layouts, boundary plans, and alignment drawings based on survey data.
• Convert DGPS, Total Station, Drone survey, and field data into accurate CAD drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
• Edit, revise, and update drawings as per engineer/client feedback.
• Maintain proper layer management, annotations, scales, and drawing standards.

GIS & Spatial Data Tasks

• Work on basic GIS mapping and spatial analysis using ArcMap / ArcGIS / Global Mapper.
• Import, process, and export survey data, shapefiles, DEMs, and raster/vector datasets.
• Support preparation of GIS maps, overlays, and geo-referenced drawings.
• Coordinate CAD–GIS data integration when required.
  

Qualifications & Skills
Educational Qualification

• Diploma / ITI / Certification in Civil Engineering, Draftsmanship, Surveying, or related field
• (Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage but not mandatory)

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Hands-on experience in land & topographical survey drawings
• Working knowledge of GIS software:
• ArcMap
• ArcGIS
• Global Mapper
• Understanding of survey methods (DGPS, Total Station, Drone survey data is a plus)
• Ability to interpret survey data, field notes, and coordinate systems

Experience

• 1–5 years of relevant experience in AutoCAD drafting for survey projects
• Experience in infrastructure, land development, or surveying companies preferred
