AutoCAD Draftsman translates conceptual designs and engineering sketches into precise 2D and 3D technical drawings. They collaborate closely with architects and engineers, ensuring all plans comply with safety, regulatory, and industry standards.Core ResponsibilitiesDesign & Drafting: Create accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings, blueprints, elevations, and layouts using Autodesk's AutoCAD software.Collaboration: Partner with architects, engineers, and project managers to gather specifications and translate concepts into functional plans.Revisions: Review project blueprints and incorporate design modifications or feedback from stakeholders seamlessly.Documentation: Prepare material lists, cost estimates, and maintain organized databases of project files and drawing templates.Quality Assurance: Verify dimensions, angles, and material specifications to guarantee completeness and adherence to industry regulations.Key Skills & RequirementsSoftware Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and familiarity with related design tools like SolidWorks, Revit, or BIM software.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of engineering, manufacturing, or architectural drafting principles.Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and clear communication skills.Education/Experience: Typically requires an associate's degree, vocational certification (e.g., ADDA certification), or a relevant apprenticeship in drafting.
