Job description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile AutoCAD Drafter to join our design team. This unique role requires a professional capable of pivoting between the high-precision, regulated environment of pharmaceutical facility design and the creative, functional requirements of residential architecture.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of technical drafting standards, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to translate complex conceptual sketches into executable construction documents.
Key Responsibilities1. Pharmaceutical Facility Design
- Develop detailed Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and floor plans for cleanrooms, laboratories, and manufacturing suites.
- Ensure all designs comply with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and local regulatory safety standards.
- Draft specialized HVAC, piping, and electrical layouts specific to sterile environments.
- Coordinate with process engineers to integrate equipment specifications into spatial layouts.
2. Residential Design
- Create comprehensive architectural sets for residential projects, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and site plans.
- Draft structural details and interior build-outs (kitchens, cabinetry, lighting plans).
- Modify existing blueprints based on client feedback or site-specific constraints.
3. General Technical Execution
- Maintain and organize a digital library of blocks, templates, and project files.
- Conduct site visits to perform "as-built" measurements and verify existing conditions.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to resolve design interference (clash detection).
- Convert hand sketches and PDF markups into layered, scaled AutoCAD files.
Qualifications & Skills Category Requirements Education Associate degree or Technical Certification in Drafting/CAD, Architecture, or related field.Experience3+ years of professional drafting experience; prior exposure to industrial/pharma or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) is highly preferred. Software Expert proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D). Familiarity with Revit or SketchUp is a plus.
